Where You Can Play

Most of the United States is open to sweepstakes play. A small group of states is not, and the operator terms govern your account.

Why Availability Varies

Guidance

There is no single federal sweepstakes licence. Availability results from state promotions law, state gambling law and each operator own assessment of risk. That last factor produces most of the confusion, because two operators can read the same statute and reach opposite conclusions.

Pattern recorded across eighteen operators

  • Accepted almost everywhere: the large majority of states were open at every operator, at eighteen or twenty-one depending on site and state
  • Excluded by all: a small group was blocked across the set, with Washington and Idaho the most consistent and Michigan and Nevada excluded by most
  • Split: several states were accepted by some operators and refused by others, indicating differing legal advice rather than settled law
  • Changed during testing: more than one operator withdrew from a state inside the testing window

Recommended check

Open the operator terms and search for excluded, prohibited or ineligible. That list governs your account, not any summary elsewhere including this page. Confirm the minimum age for your state. Eligibility follows physical location rather than residence.

Not legal adviceNothing on this page is legal advice. If it matters to you, read the operator terms and consult someone qualified in your state.

Verification and location

Every operator in the set verified identity before redemption and checked location at signup and at withdrawal. Masking location breaches the terms at all eighteen; the usual outcome is a frozen balance.
